The Least Worst Of is a 2000 compilation from Type O Negative, the Brooklyn gothic metal band signed to Roadrunner Records. It gathers previously released material alongside unreleased tracks and remixes, and came in both an edited version and an unedited one carrying a Parental Advisory label. The cover photograph shows the disused Parachute Jump at Coney Island.

It arrives after World Coming Down (1999) and before Life Is Killing Me (2003), and it shows how little the band took themselves seriously. The title is a self-deprecating joke, and the opening track is a silent "remix" lasting 39 seconds, shorter than the 1:04 silence of the original. Their logic seems to have been that silence might be among their best work. For fans of the band's dry humour, that gag alone makes it a fun oddity in the catalogue.
