The Almighty
The Almighty's self-titled record is the Scottish band's sixth studio album, released on 9 June 2000 through Canyon International. It sits between Just Add Life from 1996 and Psycho-Narco in 2001, so it belongs to the later stretch of their run, when they were still turning out hard rock and heavy metal. The cover art was designed by "Koot".
One detail makes it a curious entry in the band's story: Floyd London played the bass parts, even though he had left the group some time before. That gives the album a bit of a reunion feel behind the scenes. For anyone who knows the band from their early records, it's a good way to hear where they stood at the turn of the millennium, and a useful stepping stone to the album that followed.
