Blood, Fire & Love
Blood, Fire & Love is the first studio album by The Almighty, the Scottish rock band, released in 1989 on Polydor. It opens a discography that runs through Soul Destruction in 1991, Powertrippin' in 1993 and Crank in 1994, and it sets out the band's ground in hard rock and heavy metal, with a streak of southern rock running through the mix.
The record was given a three-disc deluxe edition by Spinefarm Records in 2015. Alongside the original album, it adds Blood, Fire & Live on the second disc and gathers the B-sides from the various singles on the third. For anyone wanting to hear where The Almighty began, and how the band sounded on stage around the same time, that set is a good place to start.
