Night Songs
Night Songs is the debut album from American rock band Cinderella, released on 9 June 1986. Mercury put it out worldwide, with Vertigo handling the UK release. It sits at the start of a run of four studio albums that would continue with Long Cold Winter in 1988, Heartbreak Station in 1990 and Still Climbing in 1994. The sound is glam-tinged hard rock, very much of its moment.
It turned out to be a big first step. "Nobody's Fool" reached No. 13 on the US singles chart, while "Shake Me" missed the chart and "Somebody Save Me" climbed to No. 66. MTV airplay helped, as did a support slot on labelmates Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet tour. The album peaked at No. 3 in the US in February 1987 and was eventually certified triple platinum. A home video, Night Songs: The Videos, followed in August 1987.
