Megadeth
Megadeth's self-titled seventeenth studio album, sometimes called the White Album, arrived on 23 January 2026 on Ward Records. It is billed as the thrash pioneers' final record, and it came out alongside their farewell tour. Dave Mustaine produced it with Chris Rakestraw, and it was announced in August 2025.
It is the only Megadeth album to feature guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari, and it brings bassist James LoMenzo back for the first time since Endgame in 2009. Four singles preceded or accompanied it: "Tipping Point", "I Don't Care", "Let There Be Shred" and "Puppet Parade". Critics were mixed to positive, but it did something no earlier Megadeth record had managed, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 with 73,000 units. For anyone who has followed the band since the 1980s, it is a fitting full stop to the story.
