Trivium

Trivium are an American heavy metal band from Orlando, Florida. The group formed in 1999, though the structure and sound most fans know took shape over the following years. Vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy has been there from the start, joined by guitarist Corey Beaulieu in 2003 and bassist Paolo Gregoletto in 2004. Drummers have come and gone, with Alex Rüdinger the latest, arriving in October 2025.

Their sound moves between metalcore, thrash and melodic and progressive heavy metal. After debut album Ember to Inferno in 2003 on Lifeforce Records, they signed to Roadrunner Records in 2004 and have stayed ever since. Ascendancy, Shogun, In Waves and The Sin and the Sentence are the albums people return to most. "Betrayer" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2019, and the band has sold over a million albums worldwide.
