Kablammo!
Kablammo! is the sixth studio album by Northern Irish rock band Ash, released in May 2015 on earMUSIC. It followed the A–Z Series, the run of singles the band put out in 2009 and 2010, after which frontman Tim Wheeler rethought his approach to albums. The band recorded it at Atomic Heart Studios in New York City between December 2014 and February 2015, co-producing with Claudius Mittendorfer.
The sound is pop rock and power pop, and the aim was to capture how Ash come across live. "Cocoon" led the way as the first single, with "Machinery" following in October, and videos also appeared for "Free" and "Evel Knievel". Critics were generally positive, with several picking out its upbeat energy. It reached number 41 in the UK and number 27 in Ireland, and it is a lively way to catch up with the band after their singles-only years.
