Album
Race the Night
Race the Night is the eighth studio album by Ash, the Northern Irish rock band. It arrived on 15 September 2023 on Fierce Panda Records, and Tim Wheeler produced it himself. Critics were generally positive about it.
It follows Islands from 2018 and comes ahead of Ad Astra in 2025, so it sits in the middle of a run of records that stretches back to Trailer in 1994 and 1977 in 1996. If you grew up with the band's early albums, this is a good way to hear where they ended up, with Wheeler steering the sound from the control room as well as from the front of the stage.
