Seven Inches of Satanic Panic
Seven Inches of Satanic Panic is the third EP from Swedish rock band Ghost, released on 13 September 2019. It gathers three songs: "Kiss the Go-Goat", "Mary on a Cross" and "The Future Is A Foreign Land". Tobias Forge wrote them with songwriters Salem al Fakir and Vincent Pontare. It arrived digitally first and was later pressed on 7" vinyl.
It sits between the albums Prequelle and Impera, a stopgap that turned out to matter. In 2022, "Mary on a Cross" charted in the top 40 of thirteen European countries after trending on TikTok, and it went on to earn Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications across several territories, including 2× Platinum in the United States. That makes this small release the place to start with one of the band's best-travelled songs.
