Communion: Live at the Union Chapel
Communion: Live at the Union Chapel is an acoustic live album from Therapy?, released on 21 August 2017. The Northern Irish band formed in Larne, County Antrim, in 1989, and built their name on abrasive alternative rock and metal, so a set stripped back to acoustic instruments is a notable change of setting for them.
It sits in the later stretch of their career, when Andy Cairns and Michael McKeegan were working as a trio. It arrived a year after the acoustic-leaning studio album Wood & Wire (1016) and shortly before Cleave in 2018. For anyone who knows Troublegum or Nurse mainly for their noise and speed, it is a chance to hear how the songwriting holds up without the volume.
