Cleave
Cleave is Therapy?'s fifteenth studio album, released on 21 September 2018. It was the first record the band put out on Marshall Records, the label run by the amplifier makers Marshall Amplification, and it marked a new base for them in the UK after a long run of albums stretching back to Babyteeth in 1991.
It sits between two quite different chapters of their later career: it follows Disquiet in 2015 and the acoustic-leaning Wood & Wire in 2016, and it comes before Hard Cold Fire in 2023. For anyone who knows the band from the alternative metal crunch of their 1990s records, Cleave is a chance to hear how they sounded as they pushed into their fourth decade with a fresh label behind them.
