Born in a Crash
Born in a Crash is a compilation from Therapy?, released in 1993 on A&M Records. It gathers material from the early part of the Northern Irish band's career, when they were still a young trio from Larne, County Antrim, formed in 1989 by Andy Cairns, Fyfe Ewing and Michael McKeegan.
It arrived at a pivotal moment. The band had put out Babyteeth in 1991 and Pleasure Death in 1992 on Wiiija Records, then signed to A&M and quickly delivered their major label debut, Nurse, in 1992. A year after that came Troublegum, the record that took them into the UK top 5. For anyone wanting to hear where that rise began, this is a handy way in to the band's noisy, alternative rock and metal beginnings.
