The End
The End is a short release from Black Sabbath, put out on 20 January 2016 and marking the final record they issued as a band. It was a limited-edition CD sold only at dates on their farewell run, The End Tour, so it began life as something for fans who were there in the room.
The first half collects tracks left over from the sessions for 13, their 2013 studio album. The second half switches to live recordings made on tour between 2013 and 2014. Together they give a neat closing note to a career that began with their 1970 debut: a last glimpse of the studio and a reminder of the band on stage.
