Live Evil is Black Sabbath's first official live album, captured on the Mob Rules Tour of 1981 and 1982. It came out on Warner Bros. Records in 1982, and it arrived as the band's own statement after Live at Last, an earlier concert release from 1980 that they had not sanctioned.

It sits in the Ronnie James Dio-fronted stretch of the story, following Heaven and Hell (1980) and Mob Rules (1981) and preceding Born Again (1983). For anyone who wants to hear how that line-up sounded on stage rather than in the studio, this is the record to reach for. In the United States it reached number 37 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart.
