The Quireboys

The Quireboys are an English rock band who formed in London in 1984, with strong ties to Newcastle. They went through a few names before settling on the current one, having started out as the Choirboys and later been the Queerboys. In the United States and Canada they were billed as the London Quireboys.

Their debut album, A Bit of What You Fancy, arrived in 1990, followed by Bitter Sweet & Twisted in 1993. The band is still active, and after a long run of records from This Is Rock 'n' Roll in 2001 to Wardour Street in 2024, From Tooting to Barking and Homewreckers & Heartbreakers are among those fans return to most. Listeners who like Guns N' Roses, Poison or Alice Cooper will find plenty to enjoy here.
