L.A. Guns

L.A. Guns are a hard rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1983 by guitarist Tracii Guns and Rob Gardner. Their first incarnation merged with Hollywood Rose to become Guns N' Roses in March 1985. After a brief spell there, Guns revived L.A. Guns with a new line-up. Singer Phil Lewis, formerly of Girl, bassist Kelly Nickels and drummer Steve Riley, previously of W.A.S.P., made up what became known as the classic line-up.

They enjoyed moderate chart success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The albums fans return to most are Cocked & Loaded, the self-titled L.A. Guns debut from 1988, Hollywood Vampires and The Missing Peace. Line-up changes followed, and the classic five reunited in 1999. Guns left in 2002 to form Brides of Destruction with Nikki Sixx, and for a time two versions of the band operated under the name. The band's story continues with Guns, Lewis and a newer line-up.
