Hollywood Vampires
Hollywood Vampires is the third studio album by the American glam metal band L.A. Guns, released on 25 June 1991 through Mercury Records. It follows their self-titled debut and Cocked & Loaded, and it leans towards a more melodic pop metal sound, with plenty of backing harmonies, layered guitars and extra keyboard parts.
It opens on a darker note with "Over the Edge", which turned up in the film Point Break. Most of the rest is straightforward hard rock, including "Kiss My Love Goodbye", later heard in Ladybugs, and "My Koo Ka Choo". The band also reach for a ballad hit on "Crystal Eyes", "It's Over Now" and the 1950s-flavoured "I Found You", following the earlier success of "The Ballad of Jayne". The first CD and cassette copies came with a 3D cover and a pair of 3D glasses designed by John Kosh.
