Acoustic Gypsy: Live
Acoustic Gypsy: Live is a live album by the Los Angeles hard rock band L.A. Guns, released in 2011 on Favored Nations Entertainment. As the title suggests, it presents the group in acoustic form, which makes it a different proposition from the electric hard rock the band built its name on in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
It arrived during one of the more complicated stretches in the band's story. Two separate versions of L.A. Guns were then recording and touring under the name, one led by guitarist Tracii Guns and the other by drummer Steve Riley. For anyone who knows the band's studio albums, from the 1988 debut to Hollywood Forever in 2012, it offers a look at how the songs hold up with the volume turned down.
