Tales From the Strip

Tales From the Strip is the ninth studio album by the American hard rock band L.A. Guns, released in August 2005 on the Irond label. It came out at a point when the group had been making records for well over a decade, and it sits comfortably in the long run of albums that began with their 1988 self-titled debut.

It is also the second record to feature guitarist Stacey Blades. His first outing with the band was the covers album Rips the Covers Off, released the year before, so this was the first time listeners could hear him on a full set of the band's own material. For anyone following L.A. Guns through their later years, it is a useful marker of how the band stood in the mid-2000s, and it fits neatly between Waking the Dead in 2002 and the '86 Demo Sessions that followed in 2008.
