The Magnificent Seventh!
The Magnificent Seventh! is Thunder's seventh studio album, recorded between June and August 2004 and produced by lead guitarist Luke Morley, with Rupert Coulson engineering and mixing. It arrived in February 2005 and followed Shooting at the Sun, the first record after the band reformed. In between, singer Danny Bowes and Morley made a second collaboration album, Mo's Barbeque, while bassist Chris Childs and drummer Gary "Harry" James released Land of the Living with Shadowman. The band came back together in early 2004 to start work on this one.
The lead single, "I Love You More Than Rock 'n' Roll", reached number 27 on the UK Singles Chart and topped the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart. The album entered the main UK chart at number 70 and the Rock & Metal chart at number 5. A tour ran from March 2005 to February 2006, taking in the UK, Europe and Japan.
