Live in Eindhoven ’98
Live in Eindhoven '98 is Death's second live album, captured at the Dynamo Open Air festival in Eindhoven, Netherlands, on 31 May 1998. It came out on 30 October 2001 and was also issued on DVD. The performance of "Spirit Crusher" was turned into a music video.
The show comes from the period of The Sound of Perseverance, the band's most recent studio album at that point, which makes it a useful snapshot of Death in front of a festival crowd. It was the group's last release before Chuck Schuldiner died of brain cancer, so it stands as a final live document of the band. For anyone who knows the studio records from Scream Bloody Gore through to Symbolic, it is a chance to hear that catalogue played on stage.
