Backstreet Symphony is the debut album from English hard rock band Thunder, released on 5 March 1990 by EMI in the UK. It was recorded in 1989 at Great Linford Manor Studios in Milton Keynes, produced by Andy Taylor, formerly guitarist with Duran Duran and The Power Station, and mixed by Mike Fraser at AIR Studios in London. Guitarist Luke Morley wrote most of the songs, with Taylor co-writing two and one cover completing the set.

It was a strong start. The record reached number 21 on the UK Albums Chart and went gold, and all five singles made the UK top 40, with "Love Walked In" the biggest at number 21. The band toured Europe supporting Heart, Love/Hate and ZZ Top, and played North American dates too. A US re-release followed in 1991, reaching number 114 on the Billboard 200.
