Rip It Up
Rip It Up is the eleventh studio album by Thunder, the hard rock band who first arrived with Back Street Symphony in 1990. It came out on 10 February 2017 and followed Wonder Days, released in 2015, continuing a run of records that stretched back more than twenty-five years by then.
The record was a notable success for the band. It entered the UK album chart at number three, their highest placing since Laughing on Judgement Day in 1992. For anyone who remembers Thunder from the early 1990s, it shows a band still finding an audience and still making straightforward hard rock in the years after their first wave. It also sits between Wonder Days and Please Remain Seated, from 2019, in a late-career stretch of regular releases.
