Hollywood Rehearsal is a collection of L.A. Guns demos, released in Japan in 1997. Every track on it was previously unreleased, so it works as a look at the band's work in progress rather than a reshuffle of familiar material.
It arrived in the middle of the glam metal band's run of studio albums, after American Hardcore in 1996 and ahead of Shrinking Violet in 1999. For fans who have followed the group from their 1988 debut onwards, it is a chance to hear songs in their rougher, unfinished form.
