The Chair in the Doorway

The Chair in the Doorway is the fifth studio album by Living Colour, the American rock band whose funk metal sound set them apart from their peers. It came out on 15 September 2009 and was their first record for Megaforce Records.

It arrived six years after Collideøscope in 2003, and it marked a return to the charts, reaching number 161 on the Billboard 200 with around 2,800 copies sold in its first week. It was their first charting album since Stain in 1993, and reviews were generally positive. Look out for "Bless Those (Little Annie's Prayer)", co-written by Annie Bandez and bassist Doug Wimbish, which first appeared on Little Annie's 1992 album Short and Sweet. It is a good record to hear if you only know the band's early work.
