Live & Rare
Live & Rare is a compilation from the American heavy metal band Quiet Riot, released on 23 March 2005 by Demolition Records. It draws on live recordings and is sometimes listed as Live & Rare Volume 1, which marks it out as the first in a planned series of archive collections. AllMusic gave it three stars out of five.
It arrived between two studio albums, Guilty Pleasures in 2001 and Rehab in 2006, so it works as a stopgap for existing fans rather than a fresh start. For anyone who knows the band from the hard rock and heavy metal records that followed their early years, it offers a look at them away from the studio.
