Quiet Riot II
Quiet Riot II is the second studio album by the American band Quiet Riot, released on 2 December 1978 through CBS/Sony. It came out exclusively in Japan, and it sits in the hard rock and glam rock camp, with the band's heavier side already audible.
The record matters mostly for who is playing on it. It is the last Quiet Riot album to feature guitarist Randy Rhoads, who went on to be widely recognised for his work on Ozzy Osbourne's first two solo albums. It also arrived in the same year as the band's self-titled debut, so the two belong together as the group's earliest chapter, well before Metal Health arrived in 1983. For anyone tracing Rhoads's path, this is a worthwhile stop.
