The Randy Rhoads Years
The Randy Rhoads Years is a compilation from American glam metal band Quiet Riot, released on 26 October 1993 through Rhino. It gathers material recorded in the 1970s with Randy Rhoads, who founded the group, and includes tracks that had not been released before alongside remixed ones.
It looks back to the band's earliest days, long before Metal Health in 1983. The group's first two albums, Quiet Riot and Quiet Riot II, both date from 1978, and this set sits alongside them as a way into that formative period. For anyone who knows Quiet Riot mainly from their later hard rock sound, it offers a chance to hear where the band began, with its founding guitarist at the centre of the story.
