Tribus
Tribus is a 1999 EP from Brazilian band Sepultura, issued by Roadrunner Records. It gathers demos and remixes of songs from their album Against, so it works as a companion piece to that record rather than a set of new material. The artwork is the same as that of the Against single.
The standout is "The Waste", an alternate take on "Kamaitachi" with Mike Patton of Faith No More on vocals. It appeared as a B-side on the Against single, as did "Common Bonds (alternate mix)". There is also "Prenúncio", a recording of Zé do Caixão's introduction of the band, which used to precede their live shows. Another version turns up on their second live album, Live in São Paulo. For anyone who values Against, it offers a closer look at how those songs took shape.
