Two
Two is the second studio album by the American rock band the Calling, released on 8 June 2004 through RCA. It followed their debut, Camino Palmero, and by this point the band was down to its original pair, vocalist Alex Band and guitarist Aaron Kamin, with session musicians filling out the sound.
Lyrically it stays on familiar ground, dealing mainly with romantic love and relationships, and it keeps the radio-friendly alternative rock approach of its predecessor. The band toured relentlessly behind it, yet RCA gave the record little promotion, and commercially it was seen as a sophomore slump next to the debut. Critics were a little kinder this time round, which makes it a worthwhile listen for anyone who only knows the first album.
