Fixed
Fixed is a remix EP from Nine Inch Nails, released on 7 December 1992. It works as a companion to Broken, the band's other record from that year, and reworks that material through the hands of several outside producers and musicians. Coil, Danny Hyde, JG Thirlwell and Butch Vig all contributed remixes, as did Chris Vrenna, who was then playing in the live band.
It sits between Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral, a stretch when the group's sound was at its harshest and most abrasive. Hearing others pull those songs apart makes this a useful side door into that period. Fixed charted in New Zealand and Canada in 1993, and the British Phonographic Industry certified it platinum on 1 March 1995.
