Savage Amusement
Savage Amusement is the tenth studio album by the German hard rock band Scorpions, released on 18 April 1988 through Mercury Records. It followed Love at First Sting from 1984, and it stands as the final Scorpions record produced by Dieter Dierks.
The album reached No. 5 in the US and was certified platinum by the RIAA on 20 June 1988, so it found a large American audience. For anyone tracing the band's path from the early 1970s through to Crazy World in 1990, it's a useful marker of where they stood at the close of the decade's middle years, and of the end of a production partnership that had shaped much of their sound.
