World Wide Live
World Wide Live is a double live album by the German band Scorpions, released in June 1985 on Mercury Records. It came out as a 2LP gatefold set and on cassette, with Dieter Dierks producing the recording. A VHS with footage from the world tour arrived at the same time.
It follows Love at First Sting, and the recordings come from a run of dates in 1984: Paris, Cologne and several shows in California, including Los Angeles, San Diego and Costa Mesa. The first CD pressing trimmed three tracks to fit the disc, among them "Another Piece of Meat" and "Six-String Sting". The 1997 remaster restored the full original running order. For anyone wanting the band on that tour, it is the place to start. A 2018 anniversary boxset added a DVD.
