This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours
This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours is the fifth studio album by the Welsh band Manic Street Preachers, released through Epic in September 1998. It followed Everything Must Go from 1996, and like that record it did well with critics and buyers alike. It went straight to number one in the UK, selling 136,000 copies in its first week, and later passed five million sales worldwide.
It marks a change of temperament for the band, trading the furious alternative rock of their earlier work for something more melodic and tender. It is also the first Manics album with lyrics written entirely by bassist Nicky Wire, with no contribution from the late rhythm guitarist Richey Edwards. If you only know the band's angrier records, this is the one that shows how gently they could write.
