A Little South of Sanity
A Little South of Sanity is a two-disc live album from Aerosmith, released in October 1998 on Geffen. It draws its recordings from two tours: the Get a Grip Tour, which ran from 1993 to 1994, and the Nine Lives Tour, which began in 1997 and was still going when the record appeared. That makes it part concert document, part compilation, and a snapshot of the band at work across the 1990s.
It is also the only Aerosmith album to carry a Parental Advisory sticker. Steven Tyler swears freely between songs and swaps in racier lyrics here and there, while a few songs already had strong language in their studio versions. If you want the band loose, loud and unfiltered rather than polished for radio, this is the place to find them.
