Album
Get Your Wings
Get Your Wings is Aerosmith's second studio album, released on 15 March 1974 on Columbia. It follows their self-titled debut of 1973 and marks the start of their working partnership with producer Jack Douglas, who stayed on for the next three records as well. Its blend of hard rock and blues rock points towards the sound the band would soon be known for.
Three singles were drawn from it, though none made the singles charts. The album did better in the long run, going triple platinum in the US, and it was issued in both stereo and quadraphonic mixes. If you want to hear the band finding its footing before Toys in the Attic and Rocks, this is the place to start.
