The Barghest o’ Whitby
The Barghest o' Whitby is the fifth EP from My Dying Bride, the English doom metal band, released on 7 November 2011. It is made up of a single track running to 27 minutes, so it works as one long piece rather than a collection of songs.
It arrived in the same year as the band's studio album Evinta, and a year before A Map of All Our Failures. For anyone who likes their doom slow and unhurried, a full half hour given over to one idea is a good way to spend time with the band.
