Decline & Fall
Decline & Fall is the sixth EP from Godflesh, the English industrial metal band fronted by Justin Broadrick. It came out in June 2014 on Avalanche Recordings, Broadrick's own label, and a stream of the track "Ringer" appeared online the month before.
The record sits at an important point in the band's story. It was only their second release since Hymns in 2001, following the 2013 single "F.O.D. (Fuck of Death)". It was recorded in the same sessions as the album A World Lit Only by Fire, which followed later in 2014, so it works as a companion piece to that comeback record. Anyone curious about how Godflesh sounded on returning will find it a useful place to start.
