Underground 6
Underground 6 is an EP put out by Linkin Park for members of their official fan club, Linkin Park Underground, which issued EPs of rare tracks, demos, live recordings and remixes every year until 2017. It came out on 5 December 2006 on Machine Shop Recordings and is filed under nu metal.
It arrived between Meteora, the band's chart-topping second album from 2003, and Minutes to Midnight, which followed in 2007. That places it in the gap between two of the band's biggest records, when Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and the rest were still feeding their most devoted listeners with extras. For fans tracing the band's story through these fan-club releases, it is one chapter in a long-running series.
