Frozen Alive

Popularity15.6

Frozen Alive is Obituary's first live DVD, released through Metal Mind Productions. It was filmed in Warsaw, Poland, on 24 August 2006, and it came out in Europe on 27 November 2006, with a US release on 2 January 2007.

It arrived as a kind of stock-take of the band's career so far. The set draws songs from every one of their albums up to Frozen in Time, the 2005 record that gives the title its nod, so it works as a tour through the death metal catalogue rather than a showcase for one era. There's also an interview recorded the day before the show, which adds a little context for fans who want more than the performance. It's a good place to catch the band on stage before Xecutioner's Return followed in 2007.
