Frozen in Time
Frozen in Time is the sixth album by American death metal band Obituary, released in July 2005 on Roadrunner Records. It marked their return after an eight-year gap following 1997's Back from the Dead, and it brought the band back together with producer Scott Burns, who had last worked with them on 1994's World Demise.
It carries a few notable endings too. This was the last Obituary record to feature lead guitarist Allen West, the band's last for Roadrunner, and the final time they worked with Burns, who retired from producing afterwards. Videos were made for "Insane" and "On the Floor". For anyone tracing the band's story, it is the record that closes one chapter and opens the way to Xecutioner's Return in 2007.
