The Videos: 1989–2004
The Videos: 1989–2004 is a DVD collection of Metallica's promo films, covering every video the band made across a fifteen-year stretch. It came out in December 2006 on Warner Bros. Records, and it sold 28,000 copies in its first week.
That span takes in the shift from the late-1980s thrash era into the self-titled album of 1991, then the Load and Reload years and on to St. Anger. For anyone who grew up watching these clips on music television, it puts the whole run in one place. The menus are a nice touch too, looping excerpts from songs such as "My Friend of Misery", "Bleeding Me" and "Carpe Diem Baby".
