New Old Songs
New Old Songs is Limp Bizkit's only remix album, released on 4 December 2001 through Flip Records. It rounds up reworked versions of tracks from the American nu metal band's first three studio albums: Three Dollar Bill, Y'all$ (1997), Significant Other (1999) and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (2000).
The remixes lean into the hip hop side of the band's sound, with breakbeat and electronic touches pulling the songs away from their guitar-heavy originals. It arrived between Chocolate Starfish and 2003's Results May Vary, so it works as a neat way to hear the early catalogue from a different angle. If you only know these songs in their original form, it's an interesting detour. It has also ranked as the sixteenth best-selling remix album of all time.
