Released2 May 2005
Popularity65.8

The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) is Limp Bizkit's first EP, released on 2 May 2005 through Flip Records. Ross Robinson produced it, and it marked the return of guitarist Wes Borland, who had rejoined in August 2004 after three years away. Sammy Siegler took over on drums for much of the work, as John Otto was absent for most of the production.

It is a notable left turn for the band. The songs are darker, heavier and more experimental than their earlier records, with lyrics on propaganda, Catholic sex abuse cases, terrorism and fame. It arrived with no advertising or promotion, yet still reached No. 24 on the Billboard 200. Reviews were mixed, though Borland's return and the ambitious new direction drew praise. A second part was planned but never finished, which makes this an odd, intriguing one-off in their catalogue.
