Live Shit: Binge & Purge
Live Shit: Binge & Purge was Metallica's first live album, released on 23 November 1993 as a box set. It gathered three CDs, or two cassettes, recorded in Mexico City on the Nowhere Else to Roam tour, alongside three VHS tapes. One captured a Seattle show from the Damaged Justice Tour in 1989, and the other two documented a San Diego concert from the Wherever We May Roam Tour in 1992.
The packaging was half the fun. The cardboard box was made to look like a tour equipment case, and inside were a photo booklet, tour correspondence between the band and their management, internal documents, handwritten notes, a replica "Snakepit" access pass and a stencil of the "Scary Guy" logo. Later reissues swapped the box for a jewel case, with three CDs and two DVDs, and the booklet moved to DVD-ROM.
