GUN's fourth studio album arrived on 5 May 1997, and its title is the band's own Glasgow phone number written out in full, a pleasingly local touch for a group that has always been proud of its Scottish roots. It followed Taking On the World, Gallus and Swagger, and came before a long gap that ended with The River Sessions in 2005.

By this point GUN, formed by guitarist Giuliano Gizzi, were established hard rock names with a run of UK top-40 singles behind them, including their cover of Cameo's "Word Up", which reached the top 10. They had also toured with the Rolling Stones in 1989 and 1990. This record is worth hearing as the closing chapter of their first era, and a useful way into how the band sounded before their return in the 2000s.
