The River Sessions
The River Sessions is a hard rock album by GUN, released in 2005 on River Records. It is the fifth studio album in the Scottish band's catalogue, arriving after 1997's 0141 632 6326 and before Break the Silence in 2012, so it sits in the middle of their long career.
GUN were formed by guitarist Giuliano Gizzi and made their name with a run of albums that charted in the UK, along with a top-ten cover of Cameo's "Word Up". They also toured with the Rolling Stones on the Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle Tour of 1989 to 1990. For anyone following the band's story from Taking On the World to the recent Hombres, this record is the link between the early years and their later return.
