In Command: Live 1989–1990
In Command: Live 1989–1990 is a concert album from the Canadian thrash metal band Annihilator, released through Roadrunner Records on 5 November 1996. It stitches together two shows from the start of their career. The first five tracks were captured at The Ritz in New York City on 11 November 1989, and the remaining nine come from The Showroom in San Antonio, Texas, on 2 November 1990.
Those dates matter, because they bracket the band's first two studio albums, Alice in Hell (1989) and Never, Neverland (1990). The record therefore catches Annihilator in their earliest touring days, when both albums were new. For anyone who knows the band mainly from their later output, it offers a rawer, on-stage view of where they began.
