EP
The Tomb Within
The Tomb Within is an EP from the American death metal band Autopsy, released in September 2010 through Peaceville Records. It came out on CD and on 12" vinyl, and the vinyl pressing was limited to 1000 numbered copies, each with a free poster of the cover artwork.
It sits in a gap in the band's story. Autopsy's first run of albums ran from Severed Survival in 1989 to Shitfun in 1995, and the next full-length, Macabre Eternal, did not arrive until 2011. This EP lands just before that return, so it is a handy marker for fans following the band's second chapter, and a short, collectable way into their grisly, old-school death metal.
