Acts of the Unspeakable

Acts of the Unspeakable is the third studio album by American death metal band Autopsy, released on 12 October 1992 through Peaceville. It follows Severed Survival in 1989 and Mental Funeral in 1991, and it sits alongside them as part of the band's early run of records.

The band produced the album themselves, which suits a group with such a distinct sound. It also stands apart in the line-up, as the only Autopsy record to feature bassist Josh Barohn, who had previously played with Suffocation. The music draws on death metal, death-doom and grindcore, and it is worth hearing for how those strands sit together. Autopsy's next album, Shitfun, followed in 1995.
